Site news

Recent changes and updates

July, 2003 -- The old "Open Content" (now defunct) license has been replaced by a Creative Commons license.

October, 2002 -- The folks I used to use for site statistics have discontinued their free service, so the page-bottom web-bugs (and associated link to site stats) are gone now.

June, 2002 -- Gearmotor comparison data is all reorganized now, and another motor has been added to the collection -- a modified version of one that'll be seen in second generation B.I.O. Bugs this Christmas.

October 27 & 28, 2001 -- Data on more motors has been added to the comparison of gearmotors -- one from Copal, one from microcassette innards, an iffy offering from Omron, and two B.I.O. Bug motors (one with a 143:1 gearbox, another with a 177:1 gearbox). Start of reorganization of motor comparison data.

October 19, 2001 -- New text on surface mount resistor & capacitor markings; new section of data comparing various solar cells; new utility to compare a solar cell you find for sale against the ones I've ranked; new traffic tracking code (if you'd like to see the stats yourself, you can now do this via a link on the "Legalities" page).

September 27, 2001 -- Solar engine and motor driver details moved over to Circuits library to improve Reference Library layout.

September 23, 2001 -- Initial release (pages copied from the old BFTGU site)
